Our Story

Our baking journey began when, as a child, “Miss Lisa” decided to use her mother’s cookbook to bake a loaf of homemade white bread. The success of this loaf of bread fueled her ambition to try new baking challenges. When building her own home, she experimented more with different breads, pastries, and other delicious baked goods. Whatever her family didn’t eat, she took to the teachers’ lounge for her colleagues. There the idea of turning the hobby into a business was formed. At each school in the five states the Edington family lived, people continued to encourage the dream of sharing her baking with more than just family and friends.

Thus…Daily Bread was born!

Through our bakes, we desire to create a sense of community. Our mission is to create connections between people simply by sharing something tasty to eat. Our bakes are inspired by the people we’ve met, the cultures we’ve experienced, and the places we’ve been. No matter the differences, bread can bring us all together.

Our ingredients

Dyersburg, and the surrounding communities in West Tennessee have a rich heritage of local farming. We strive to use only the best ingredients from these local farming communities in and around the Dyersburg area.
